Meet Dr. Catharine Hildebrand
Intrigued by the Power of Chiropractic
Catharine’s first encounter with chiropractic left her intrigued. Though she sought help for lower back pain, the recurring sinus infections she had suffered from went away, too. She completed her undergraduate education at the University of Waterloo, earning a Bachelor of Science, and the University of Western Ontario, where she obtained a Bachelor of Education.
Then, it was time to pursue her chiropractic education at Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. Their strong focus on evidence-based medicine and critical thinking gave Catharine skills and knowledge that still benefit her today in practice.
“I encourage patients to take care of their body so that they don’t have to go the route of drugs and surgery whenever possible.” Dr. Catharine enjoys seeing peoples’ lives change in how they approach their own health once they learn that health is an investment, it is never a quick fix.
Serving All Ages in Waterloo
After having taught high school for three years, she set up her family practice in Union Wellness Centre. Over the years, Catharine has completed additional courses and certifications within pediatric chiropractic, Active Release Techniques®, extremity adjusting, gait analysis and orthotic prescription and nutrition.

An Active Lifestyle
Catharine loves making the most of the beautiful outdoors that surround our community. She, her husband and their two sons take a backcountry camping trip each summer to get off the grid. They also like to downhill ski or bike, walk and run on the trails around the Grand River Trail System. Catharine feels that nature can recharge her mentally and physically, even in the winter, and encourages her patients to find things they enjoy during all four seasons.
